Miami rap artist, Grief lives and breathes music and from the microphone tatted on his neck, there's no doubt that he's most at home in the booth behind a mic. Grief's presence behind the mic is marked by his deep and daunting voice that feels almost sinister; it's no wonder his artist name is Grief. The depth in his voice and the grim reality portrayed in his lyrics coupled with bounce-worthy tracks allows his fans to feel both the joy and the pain of Grief's life.

MTV2 Sucker-Free Awards Recap
The MTV2 Sucker Free Awards were held this past Sunday at LIV at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach. A group of tastemakers made up of celebrities, Hip-Hop giants and comedians chose the winners in 4 of the 7 categories including Artist of the Year, Classic Album of the Year, Club Banger and Who Got Next. The other 3 categories, Must Follow Artist, Rookie of the Year and Best Crew of 2011 were decided by fan votes.
The awards, much like MTV2's Sucker Free Sundays were definitely not traditional. Hosted by Sway, MTV2 basically threw one helluva party at LIV and gave out some awards in the process. Check out video of all the winners and performances after the jump.

Sunday's Videos: Common Covers Nas plus more on Ivy League Videos
Common covered a verse from Nas' "Life's a Bitch" in this cool visual shot by Court Dunn and cinematographer Mike Florio for 2DopeBoyz.com and Restless Films. This is a definite good look for all involved and creates excitement for Common's upcoming album The Dreamer/The Believer, which I'm sure will be nothing less than stellar.
This is the reason I love Hip-Hop.... watch, be mesmerized and then listen to the original... #Classic!
"Now it's all about cash in abundance, niggaz I used to run with
is rich or doin years in the hundreds
I switched my motto -- instead of sayin fuck tomorrow
That buck that bought a bottle could've struck the lotto."
