Terius Nash aka The-Dream released his mixtape, 1977 in early September as his fourth studio album was pushed back idefinitely by his label, Def Jam Records. His fourth album, The Love IV: Diary of a Mad Man was originally supposed to be released on Sept. 20 but due to contract negotions, Def Jam pulled the album's release and The-Dream decided to release 1977 under his government name, Terius Nash to make sure he stayed relevent with fans. The album is 13 tracks of what The-Dream does best: excellent production and lyrical word play but it is also extremely personal with the first few tracks clearly about his break up with famous ex-wife, Christian Milian. Check out "Used to Be" for a very angry, male perspective on a very public break-up.
Here's the first single & video from the mixtape, "Long Gone:"
"I don't know about us anymore, No matter what my mouth may say.
I don't know about us anymore, laying beside you suddenly feels strange.
Laying beside you suddenly feels strange.
If I say I love you, you gonna say you love me back
But the thing about that is that it's so far from the facts.
See I don't know about us anymore, no matter what your mouth may say
Cuz your heart says, long gone..."
-Terius Nash

The Ivy League got a hot tip about an up-and-coming artist out of Atlanta, Frequent Flyer Los aka Los and after listening to a few tracks, his talent is undeniable. Los' flow is smooth, his lyrical content is on point definitely delivering a clear message of who he is as an artist with a few punch lines thrown in. His freestyles to industry beats show his lyrical skill. Originally from Mobile, Alabama's Orange Grove Projects, Los is with IOU Entertainment in the A and is definitely one to watch. Check out, "Closer":
"The type of shit I'm on, a lotta niggas hate it,
but you aint doin shit right if you aint got no haters,
Tell me go left but I go right and that's my motivation,
And everybody's just a critic, keep participatin."
In case you missed it, Fabolous and Ray J allegedly engaged in some REAL beefin backstage at Fabo's concert in Vegas over the weekend. Eye-witness tweets said that Ray swung at the Brooklyn-rapper but then Loso proceeded to beat down Brandy's lil bro. The fight was fueled by Fab's jokes on Twitter about Ray J earlier in the week. Fabo & Kevin Hart were cracking jokes about Ray J giving a "concert" in Floyd Mayweather's living room on HBO's "24/7" where it shows him singing "One Wish" completely dolo.

Grief's released the LMNOP EP as a preview to his upcoming mixtape release, Weed and Coffee. The title track, "LMNOP" is a gritty-street record with some bounce, which makes it great riding music but also plays well in the club. The concept of the song, literally going through each letter of the alphabet recounting the ABCs of a hustler's lifestyle with Grief going A thru K, Razor on the hook doing L through P and finally Brisco ending the alphabet. Lyrically, "LMNOP" is savvy and original and with the dark quality of the Razor-produced beat, the song is almost sinister and definitely unforgettable.
15 years ago today, Hip-Hop lost it's brightest, most controversial and dynamic star of his time, Tupac Amaru Shakur. 2Pac's uncanny ability to scream, "Fuck the World" in one song while trying to save it in the next left critics puzzled and fans mesmerized. He was a polarizing figure that gave an entire generation a voice. When you listened to Pac, you felt like he was speaking to you, speaking to your struggle. He created a connection with his audience that has superseded time, space and celebrity. You felt you could touch him.
Klub Kutters last Sunday was the place to be to check out the best up-and-coming artists in South Florida. IOU Entertainment put together a line-up of artists that showcased the talent that exists in Broward and Dade counties. DJ Frank Luv was going ham keeping the place live and the dancers were doing their thing but more importantly the performers were on point. Hot Rod & the Goon Squad kicked off the show. Cudda C brought the crowd to their feet and Faddy Yo had everybody bouncin'! Razor had the girls going crazy with that "Snapper" record. If you weren't there, you missed a great show!
Don't miss the next artist showcase in October!
KLUB KUTTERS IS POPPIN THIS & EVERY SUNDAY!!!

I know Adele's unique sound and feeling is unparalleled... but what Jeremih did with this cover is fantastic and the mash-up with Vanilla Ice, David Bowie's Under Pressure and his own "Down On Me..." ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!! #SHITZCRAZEE
