David Banner and MTV News hit Wall Street to experience, participate and shed some light on the movement. According to OccupyWallSt.org, the organization is a "leaderless resistance movement with people of many colors, genders and political persuasions. The one thing we all have in common is that We Are The 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%." The movement has seen much success in other U.S. Cities and David Banner took MTV cameras to check out the scene at Wall Street in New York.

This isn't unusual for Banner, who is extremely socially conscious and is always bringing to light different social issues in our country and around the world. He explained to MTV that all he wanted to do was "watch and be a part of" while he went around the protest site interviewing protesters who explained that the movement is about standing up against corporate greed. The interviews and the protest left an impression on the Mississippi rapper, "To see people from all walks of life, all creeds, all colors come together to try to make something better happen, I'm motivated."
Check out the MTV News clip below and also, Luke Rudkowski from We Are Change interviews David Banner and he talks about his role, the media, the role of Hip-Hop in social issues and sheds more light on the movement.
