Joe's The Good. The Bad. The Sexy (Album Review)

Album Review bv: Robin 'Oodie' Cooper

18 years strong, "Joe" Thomas has given us hit after hit. From singles such as "All The Things" and "Don't Wanna Be A Player" to chart topping albums, the end seems all but near for Mr. Thomas's career.

With 8 R&B-slaying albums under his belt, veteran Joe delivers yet another sensational LP for the grown & sexy. The Good, The Bad, The Sexy follows up and takes a route that differs from his 2009 release, Signature. The LP details the highs and lows of love and without a doubt, Joe serves his listening audience a taste of it all. "Closer," the lead single didn't seem to make the cut but with the lineup Joe supplied, I'm sure no one would make a fuss. Adding smooth vocals over a bass hitting beat, the intro "Losing," produced by Osinachi Nwaneri, sets the vibe as Joe gives us 'The Bad' by lyrically painting a picture of a love gone astray. Via Amazon.com, "Losing" is said to be an upcoming single. Supported by tracks such as,"Circles" and "Dear Joe", the bad plays it's role but 'The Good' & 'The Sexy' play bigger roles. Joe taps into the My Name Is Joe era and does what he's known for, wooing the ladies. "Pull My Hair" and "Lose Control" live up to the hype, sexy and lustful, yet tasteful. Joe definitely takes it there once again.

The few tracks mentioned are only half of the classic sound Joe put forth with this album. "Sweet Kisses" and "Impossible" prove that The Good, The Bad, The Sexy is another solid release from Joe and that he only gets better with time. If you're a fan of real r&b, this album is a must have for your collection.
